Two weeks from today, the gate drops on the 43rd Paris Supercross at the Plenitude Arena. With 2025 winner Malcolm Stewart out, there will be a new King of Paris, and the list of candidates is a strong one.

The favourite: Ken Roczen

Roczen arrives as the 2026 US Supercross champion and a former King of Paris (2022). He's the most complete supercross rider in the field, and on a tight indoor track where the start and the first lap matter so much, experience counts. Anything other than a Roczen win would be a surprise.

The European challenge

Tom Vialle has won two 250SX East titles in America and was Prince of Paris in 2024. Racing SX1 on the factory Honda HRC in front of a home crowd, he's the rider most likely to turn the arena's noise into points. Lucas Coenen is the unknown quantity: the 19-year-old MXGP runner-up is fast enough to win anywhere, but supercross precision is a different skill.

The newcomers

Jo Shimoda makes his 450 supercross debut, and Jordon Smith races Paris for the first time on the Triumph alongside Aaron Plessinger, who'll be keen to make up for missing last year's event.

SX2 and the Prince of Paris

Sacha Coenen is the man to beat in SX2 on a factory KTM, though American wildcards Henry Miller and Mitchell Harrison, Canada's Cole Thompson and the French SX Tour regulars will make it tough for him.
