The defending King of Paris won't be back. Malcolm Stewart has withdrawn from the Paris Supercross 2026 for contractual reasons linked to his future American team, and Jordon Smith takes his place in the SX1 field.

Who is Jordon Smith?

Smith has been a fixture of US supercross since 2015. He was runner-up in the 2018 250SX East championship and third in the West in 2024, and he made history as the first rider to win a final on Triumph's TF 250-X. He moved up to the 450 class this season and raced it through the SuperMotocross series.

He races for the factory Triumph team alongside Aaron Plessinger, which gives Triumph two riders in Paris. The organiser calls Smith a "luxury outsider", and it's his first time at the event.

An open title fight

Stewart's absence means there will be a new King of Paris in 2026. Ken Roczen, the 2022 winner, becomes the clear favourite, with Tom Vialle and Lucas Coenen expected to push him hardest. See the full list of Paris Supercross 2026 riders.
